 Learn the basics of being a DJ and the techniques used in mixing and making music at this one day course.

Participants will learn:

•    Job scope of a DJ
•    Types of DJ
•    Interpersonal skills of a DJ
•    What is BPM
•    What is a Bar
•    What is a Tempo
•    Cueing a track
•    How to identify the first beat of the track
•    Mixing and making music
•    Setting up Serato interface with controller setup

Who should attend:

Those who intent to work as an entry level DJ or start the journey of being a DJ

10.30 am to 5.30 pm 
Hillview Community Centre (accessible by Hillview MRT)

Fees:  $400  SkillsFuture Credit Eligible (submit your SkillsFuture Credit claim to pay for the course fees).
SkillsFuture Credit aims to encourage individuals to take ownership of their skills development and lifelong learning. 
All Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of $500 from January 2016.
Your credit will not expire and the government will provide periodic top-ups, so you may accumulate your credit.

Please Note:

Maximum class size is 15 participants. All participants to observe mandatory safe distancing measures as implemented by

Hillview Community Club. 
Those who are not feeling well should consult a doctor and not attend the class.

Participants are to bring their own thumb drive to record the music tracks they mixed.

A Certificate of Achievement will be issued to participants who successfully completed the course. 
Dress code: Smart casual.
